Reverie is a collection of songs that have been written over the years, and even recorded in various locations at various times in 2007. They take on several musical styles including reggae (“Hold Me Down”), a use of rhythms, which carries the album’s opening track, “Beautiful Dream,” intoxicating Jazz (“All These Rivers”), and more.  “Beautiful Dream,” one of the album’s premier tracks and candidate for single exposure, uses building textures to make the song one that you’ll easily revisit.

Singer-songwriter, Jann Klose has grown up in multiple locations including Africa and so it is easy to see his musical influences here.  On “Clouds,” the song creates a café-like sound experience, encouraging an impromptu dance much as you would if you were culture-indulging on a vacation.

But as varied as the music is, it is equally thought-provoking by his lyrical explorations.  His songs are a reflection of life and experiences. All of this is wrapped up in an expressive voice that adds conviction to the songs, making them seem heartfelt and real.

Pour yourself something organic on a weekend morning as you take in the promise of a wonderful summer or fall day, and listen to Reverie.  It will enhance your experience.  Calling this life a “Beautiful Dream” is certainly a nice way to start a day.
